Kudos to Judy Caldwell for her letter regarding bicycles.

While it may be true that the North Carolina General Assembly makes the bicycle rules, I wonder how many of these folks have followed a bicycle down Highway 276? The signs say Share the Road and it should apply to bicycle riders as well.

When I am getting a “following” while moseying down a road, I will pull over at the first opportunity to let them pass. It’s called courtesy whether the law requires it or not. Bicyclists should also have the courtesy of pulling off the road when possible for the few seconds it might t...
