Skyterra Opening Campus At Glen Cannon

April 22, 2019

Skyterra Wellness Retreat is planning to open a new campus on 25 acres of the former Glen Cannon Country Club property.

Skyterra Wellness Retreat, which currently has a location in Lake Toxaway, has been turning the former clubhouse into a newly renovated facility boasting 12,000 square feet of fitness rooms, yoga studios, lecture rooms, and a state-of-the-art kitchen to prepare meals and host cooking demonstrations, according to a news release. Moreover, the property includes 5 miles of Hiking trails with sweeping views.

As renovations near completion, Skyterra’s owners, Sue Crowell and Teresa Ostler, plan to open by the end of the summer.

At its new location, the release said, retreat guests will enjoy the same wellness program that Skyterra has provided since it first opened its doors two-and-a-half years ago at the Catatoga location in Lake Toxaway.

The new location, the release said, will bring more visitors to the county and more jobs.

Skyterra Wellness Retreat’s locating to the site is the latest endeavor at the former golf course, which was sold to a local developer in 2014.

The property en-compasses roughly 150 acres. For more information, go to
