DuPont Forest To Get More Acreage

Another 315 acres is anticipated to be added this year to DuPont State Recreational Forest.

Conserving Carolina has received a grant from the Duke Energy Water Resource Fund to buy the property and will work with the N.C. Forest Service to add the land to DuPont in the coming year.

The land will be the third and final phase of Conserving Carolina’s purchase of the roughly 718-acre Continental Divide Tract.
