Pisgah Pride Day 2019 Was A Huge Success

Smokey Bear was on hand with the 'bear necessities' for volunteers. Hard hats were one of them.

For Pisgah Pride Day 2019 over 300 people working on 17 projects across the Pisgah Ranger District. Volunteers:

•Installed a new entry sign at the Ranger Station.

•Built rock steps near top of Mt. Pisgah Trail.

•Rebuilt a rock garden at the Ranger Station.

•Hauled heavy timbers up John Rock trail and built three puncheon bridges.

•Cleaned up 3 miles of roadside trash.

•Removed and treated 10,000 square feet of non-native invasive plant species.

•Conducted a training hike associated with identifying and locating threatened ash trees.

•Rebuilt a broken bridge at Moore...
