Brevard Beats Pisgah, Finishes Second In Mountain Six

Tripp Harris slides safely into home after a wild pitch in the first inning of last Thursday's game. Harris finished the game 1-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored.

The Brevard Blue Devils did everything in their power to clinch a Mountain Six Conference title on the final game of the regular season last Thursday.

Unfortunately, the Blue Devils didn't get the help they needed, but still beat Pisgah 12-5 to pick up their fifth straight win and enter the playoffs with a wave of momentum.

Brevard entered Thursday's game already having clinched second place. They had to beat Pisgah and needed Smoky Mountain to defeat Franklin to jump to the top of the standings.

Smoky held an early lead before the Panthers rallied for the 6-5 win.
