Brevard Hearing Loss

The next program for the Brevard Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America will be a presentation by Taylor Sands from MED-EL.  She will explain what a cochlear implant is and will discuss cochlear implant technology, procedures, implant candidates, and equipment.

The meeting will be on Saturday, May 11, at 1 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Brevard.  The room will open at 12:30 p.m. to sign in, browse the free literature available, grab a snack, and meet others interested in discussing hearing problems and solutions.

The Lutheran Church is located at 22 Fisher Road in Brevard, and is at the intersection of North Broad Street and Fisher Road, directly across the street from the main entrance to Ingles Market. Chapter members, hearing professionals, persons who have attended a meeting in the past, and anyone interested in learning about hearing loss and hearing solutions are welcome.

Ikenobo Ikebana

The Ikenobo Ikebana Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, will hold its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Hendersonville, 1735 Fifth Avenue West in Hendersonville.
