Transylvanians In College: Nariah Shanice Conley

Nariah Shanice Conley, of Arden, graduated from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., Saturday, May 11, 2019.

She attended T.C. Roberson High School in Arden and is a 2015 graduate of Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Va.

She is a member of Eta Sigma Gamma National Honors Society for public health; the Monarch2 Monarch Mentorship program; and chartered the Old Dominion Chapter of Queen In You, July 31, 2018.

She received a Bachelor of Science degree in health sciences, with a concentration in public health, and will be completing her summer internship with the Chesapeake Medical Center in Virginia. Following the completion of her internship, she will travel to the La Romana, Dominican Republic, where she previously completed a nursing internship, to work as student activities coordinator for Gap Medics.

She is the daughter of Carmen M. Conley, of Arden and formerly of Brevard, and Maj. Harold K. Richardson, of Ft. Leavenworth, Kan .; granddaughter of Carl Y. Conley Sr. and Barbara S. Conley, of Pisgah Forest, Patricia Fillmore, of Lady Lake, Fla., and Zell Walker Jr., of Eufaula, Ala.
