Forest Visitors Face Heavy Summer Traffic

During the summer, those who visit Pisgah National Forest, particularly during the weekends, can expect to face heavy traffic and delays.

Each year, more than 2 million people are estimated to visit the Pisgah Ranger District of the Pisgah National Forest.

Visitors, for example, faced extensive traffic backups during the Memorial Day weekend as they exited the forest at the U.S. 276 entrance.
