MountainTrue and Pisgah Conservancy Talk about Saving Ash Trees in Pisgah on June 5

"Have you heard of the emerald ash borer (EAB)? It’s the pest that is killing ash trees throughout North America. EAB was discovered in Brevard last year and it is impacting trees all across Pisgah National Forest. Ash trees are important ecologically, economically, and culturally. In order to preserve a remnant population, MountainTrue and Pisgah Conservancy have teamed up to save trees on Pisgah National Forest.

On Wednesday, June 5 at 6 p.m. MountainTrue biologist Josh Kelly will give an informational talk on the emerald ash borer at the Rugow Room of the Transylvania County Library....
