Fisher Joins Running Eagles Wrestling In Historic Signing

Last Thursday, Rosman's Madison Fisher became the first woman from Transylvania County to wrestle collegiately, after signing to join the Life University women's wrestling team. Fisher wrestled four years for the Tigers and competed in several national competitions.

Ever since she first stepped on the mat as a freshman, Madison Fisher has been breaking the mold.

Last Thursday, she did it again.

As one of only a handful of female wrestlers in the area, Fisher made history by becoming the first from Transylvania County to wrestle collegiately, as she signed her letter of intent to join Life University's women's wrestling team.

Progressing as a girl in a sport dominated by boys was never easy, but Fisher said the joy of realizing her dream of wrestling in college made it all worth it.
