One of the advantages of living in this part of western North Carolina is that we have long springs and falls.

This means that we can often plant earlier than in other areas and so there is an opportunity to plant a second crop and harvest up to or even beyond the first frost.

It also lets us learn from earlier mistakes and have another go with a planting that did not do well the first time around.
