City Manager Apologizes For Military Uniform Mix Up-Brevard NC

After facing criticism on social media for wearing a U.S. Air Force coat during the Memorial Day Parade at the White Squirrel Festival on May 25, Brevard City Manager Jim Fatland issued an apology in a statement released today.

"Earlier this year I was asked to participate in the planning of the Memorial Day Parade by the American Legion. My background includes service with the United States Coast Guard Reserves, so it was certainly an honor to not only be asked to help in the planning of the parade, but also when I was later asked to be a participant.
