City Hides $530,000 For Railroad Depot

Monday, June 17, the Brevard City Council will adopt the city’s 2020 budget. When they do so, they green-light all capital projects within this document.

In his budget summary, Brevard City Manager Jim Fatland talks about the $800,000 set aside for the redevelopment of the Mary C. Jenkins Community Center, a project kicked down the road for nearly 12 years, but curiously and in stark contrast, he makes no mention of the second most expensive capital project stowed away under tab No. 34 about halfway through the city’s $24.3 million budget.
