Marcy Thompson To Speak At Allison-Deaver House Sunday

Sunday talks hosted by the Transylvania County Historical Society return to the Allison-Deaver House on Sunday, June 23, at 2 p.m. Local history librarian Marcy Thompson will speak on “Early Settlers of the Davidson River.”

The valley around the lower section of the Davidson River was home to the first migrants into what is today Transylvania County following the Revolutionary War.
