Telco Community Credit Union Opens Branch In Brevard

On June 12, Telco Community Credit Union opened its ninth branch at 281 Asheville Highway in Brevard.

Telco was organized in 1935 to serve the employees of the Southern Bell Telephone System. Today, they are a community-chartered credit union serving Alexander, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Haywood, Henderson, Madison, McDowell, Polk, Rutherford and Transylvania counties. Those who live, work, worship or attend school in these counties are eligible to become a Telco member. What’s the difference between a credit union and a bank?
