The Transylvania Heritage Museum will present quilting in North Carolina and “Bed Turning” at 4 p.m., June 27, at Silvermont in downtown Brevard.

The history of quilt making in North Carolina spans four centuries and has been shaped by Tar Heels of nearly every ethnic group and social class. By definition a quilt involves stitching or tying a layer of batting between two pieces of fabric.
