Sometimes relatively obscure decisions that are not front page news may have far greater longer-term implications than the hot news item of the day. On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 6-3 vote, issued a ruling that could make it much harder for citizens and the media to obtain information regarding government expenditures.
