Republican Club

The Transylvania Republican Club Breakfast is moving to the 4th Saturday of this month (July 27 at 8:30 a.m.) just for the month of July. They will host two guest speakers – new GOP State Chairman Michael Whatley and New GOP Vice Chair Miriam Chu.

The two will speak at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, July 27, at the Hawg Wild BBQ restaurant in Pisgah Forest. Members should note this is a different date than the normal third Saturday.

Rotary Club Of Pisgah Forest

For the July 24 meeting of the Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest, the speaker will be Ken Shull, Assistant District Governor for District 7670.

After four years in the Air Force, Shull had a 43-year career in health care in Virginia and the Carolinas.

He joined his first Rotary Club in Pickens, S.C., in 1978.

He has been in four clubs and the president of two of them, including president of the Rotary Club of Tryon in 2017-2018.

He is now serving as assistant governor for the second year. He currently serves as the district governor nominee for this district.

For the month of July 2019 the speaker chair is Jim Cruickshank.

The public is always welcome to attend the breakfast meetings, listen to the guest speakers, and share a friendly and delicious buffet breakfast at the Pisgah Fish Camp every Wednesday at 8 a.m.
