The following briefs are from Thursday, July 31, 1969 edition of The Transylvania Times.

Dr. James M. Schreyer, a member of the first graduating class at Brevard College (1936), supervised the pre-flight decontamination procedures for the antiseptically clean valise — like containers used in the transporting of lunar samples to the Lunar Receiving Laboratory in Houston. Dr. Schreyer is Department Supervisor of the Chemistry Development Department at the Oak Ridge, Tenn. Y-12 Plant, which is operated by the Nuclear Division of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission.
