Bowling, Italian Style

Talk about close! The Connestee Falls summer bocce championship was decided by just 1/8 of an inch.

For those unfamiliar with bocce (ba-chee), it’s a team game, highly social and highly competitive, in which players roll 2-pound balls down a court trying to get as close as they can to a little yellow target ball (the pallino). The action takes place on a pair of courts just above the swimming pool parking lot.
