Pedestrian Bridge In Place – Brevard, NC

On Wednesday morning, a 20,000-pound pedestrian footbridge was placed over King’s Creek off Railroad Avenue in Brevard. The 10-foot-wide and 80-foot-long bridge arrived pre-constructed from Contech Engineered Solutions in Alabama. Carolina Specialties in Hendersonville has been laying the foundation for the bridge since July, and its crew will be pouring concrete into the tray of the bridge. The pedestrian bridge is a part of a larger trail system project the city is working on.
