A Boost For Democracy

In a 357-page ruling issued last week, a panel of three North Carolina state judges ruled unanimously that the state legislative districts drawn in 2017 violate the North Carolina Constitution. The general ruling, as well as the justifications and directions included in it, should lead to fairer elections, a more representative state government and potentially more faith in our state leaders.
