In a game that started slow, the Brevard Blue Devils and the East Rutherford Cavaliers traded plenty of blows down the stretch, as the Blue Devil defense came up with a pivotal stand and the offense converted on several key third downs to run out the clock and earn a hard-fought 16-14 victory.

Brevard led 3-0 at halftime before the two offenses came alive in the second half. The Cavaliers relied heavily on their senior standout Calvin Jones, who proved to be a difficult task for the Blue Devil defense, accounting for both of East's touchdowns and bringing them back from a 16-0 deficit.
