The Window

A corn stalk started growing under the bird/squirrel feeder earlier this summer. We asked Gary to please don’t cut the little corn stalk down. He keeps the yard in fine shape. Now, the corn stalk is tall and has an ear of corn on it. The silks have now turned dark. I wonder how the squirrels will manage eating that ear of corn. Of course, if there are sunflower seeds in the feeder the squirrels will eat all of them before they will the corn. Lazy little critters!

My grandson, Josh, and his family visited this past weekend from South Carolina. The little ones were so cute playing and talking a mile a minute. We took the little ones to their cousin’s birthday party, where they had so much fun. Little Silas had fun eating the “tops” off several cupcakes. My daughter and I were in grandchildren heaven. We got a lot of hugs, and the sticky things left behind can be cleaned up later. Seven-year-old Jaycee ask me if I had God’s phone number. She wanted to ask Him if she could talk to Papaw. Out of the mouth of babes.
