City Declines To Accept Skate Park – Brevard, NC

After volunteers raised $72,000 and spent nearly 500 hours constructing a skateboard ramp, the city of Brevard will not accept the Tannery Skate Park off Silversteen Drive due to liability concerns.

This past Thursday, Formation PR + Brand, a public relations firm in Hendersonville, issued a press release for the city of Brevard stating, "Due to a recent finding from the N.C. League of Municipalities (NCLM), which provides general liability coverage for the city, the city of Brevard will not be able to accept the Tannery Skate Park as we had originally hoped.
