Living Wage Coalition Recognizes Mayberry's With Its First 'Buycott'

A "Buycott?" What is that? Many people are familiar with the term "boycott," an intentional effort to avoid purchasing or participating in a business or product. Buycott is a term developed to signify an intentional effort to support a business or product.

The Living Wage Coalition of Transylvania County sponsored its first buycott at Mayberry's Restaurant on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Mayberry's is a Living Wage certified employer, a member of the largest voluntary certification program in the country.
