August, September Arrests Reported – Transylvania County, NC

The Transylvania County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests and incidents for September and August.

Arrests

•Oscar Shelton, 71, was arrested for one felony fugitive count on Sept. 21. He was taken to the county detention center and placed under a $10,000 bond.

•Ashley Marie Saladin, 23, was arrested for one felony count of possession of burglary tools on Sept. 12. She was served with a criminal summons for an Oct. 8 trial date in Jackson County.

•Parker Jackson Brooks, 20, was arrested for one felony count of breaking and entering, one felony count of conspire breaking/entering-felony larceny and one felony count of conspiracy larceny after breaking/entering on Sept. 10. He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $20,000 bond.

•Darren Bernard Wells, 31, was arrested for one felony count of possession of heroin and one felony count of possession of fentanyl on Sept. 10. He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $10,000 bail.

•Miranda Jean York, 30, was arrested for one felony count failure to appear on Sept. 6. She was taken to the detention center and placed under a $10,000 bond.

•Daniel Ryan Robinson, 39, was arrested for one felony count of larceny from a merchant on Sept. 4. He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $10,000 bail.

•Grady Darnell Ward III, 35, was arrested for one felony count of failure to appear on Aug. 31.

He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $18,000 bail.

•Michael Joseph Deault, 39, was arrested for one felony count of possession of methamphetamine on Aug. 28. He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $5,000 bail.

•Sean Edward Queen, 45, was arrested for three felony counts of failure to appear on Aug. 26. He ware taken to the detention center and placed under a $102,000 bond.

•Damon Mandell Mobely, 41, was arrested for one felony count of failure to appear on Aug. 26.

He was served with the order for arrest while in the detention center and placed under a $20,000 bond.

•Joshua Brent Flood, 38, was arrested for one felony count of assault by strangulation on Aug. 24. He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $4,000 bond.

•Lela Dione Henson, 28, was arrested for one felony count of failure to appear on Aug. 24.

She was taken to the detention center and placed under a $5,000 bond.

•Dekarlos Raymond James, 28, was arrested for three felony counts of possession with intent to sell, distribution of a controlled substance on Aug. 19. He was placed in the detention center under a $50,000 bond.

•Phillip John Fureman, 31, was arrested for one felony count of a governor’s warrant for aggravated assault, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another, simple assault and simple assault by physical menace in Lebanon County, Penn., on Aug. 19.

He was in the Transylvania County detention center at the time of this arrest and subsequently extradited to Pennsylvania.

•Matthew Shane Cantrell, 36, was arrested for one felony count of possession of methamphetamine on Aug. 17. He was taken to the detention center and placed under a $5,000 bail.

Incidents

•There was a report of credit card/automatic teller machine fraud on Sept. 30 on Becky Mountain Road. The victim reported $7,189 in fraudulent charges to his credit card.

•There was a report of larceny on Sept. 28 on Clinic Road in Balsam Grove. Tools, electronics, clothing, medications and other valuables were reported stolen.

•There was a report of bad checks on Sept. 24 on Kings Creek Road. A $1,150 check drawn from USAA bank was the item in question.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering on Sept. 23 on Walnut Hollow Road. A Dodge 1500 truck was reported stolen.

•There was a report of manufacturing marijuana on Sept. 23 on Rosewood Park Place.

•There was a report of false pretenses/swindle /confidence game on Sept. 22 on Greenview Lane in Pisgah Forest. The victim reported $2,460 was obtained by fraudulent activity.

•There was a report of identity theft on Sept. 21 on Boy’s Cove Road.

•There was a report of identity theft on Sept. 11 on Fox Tower Road.

•There was a report of destruction/damage/vandalism of property and theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories on Sept. 10 at the Ride Share PVA in Rosman. A front bumper and front windshield were reported stolen.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle on Sept. 8 on Emmett Road in Pisgah Forest. Several credit cards, an insurance card, car keys, a sunglasses case, a personal check and candy were reported stolen from the vehicle.

•There was a report of burglary/breaking and entering on Sept. 7 on Lonnies Landing. Currency of $1,400 was reported stolen.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle and destruction/damage/vandal-ism of property on Sept. 3 on Asheville Highway in Pisgah Forest. A Sony stereo and center console were reported stolen and damaged respectively.

•There was a report of larceny on Sept. 2 on Asheville Highway in Brevard. A wallet with credit cards, identification and $1,000 cash was reported stolen.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle on Aug. 31 at the Looking Glass Trailhead PVA. A wallet, cards, custom dance shoes, an F-150 owner’s manual and a business banner were reported stolen from the vehicle.

•There was a report of larceny on Aug. 23 on Moon Circle. A car hauler trailer was reported stolen.

•There was a report of arson on Aug. 21 on Patton Mountain.

•There was a report of obtaining property by false pretense on Aug. 20 on Glady Branch Road in Pisgah Forest.

The victim reported $4,800 was obtained by false pretense.

•There was a report of disseminating obscene material to minor on Aug. 19 on Gobbler Circle in Horseshoe.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle/vandalism of property on Aug. 19 on North Country Club.

A wallet with cards and cash were reported stolen, and a passenger window was reported damaged.

•There was a report of credit card/automatic teller machine fraud on Aug. 19 on London Court.

•There was a report of obtaining property by false pretense on Aug. 13 on Tsisdu Court in Brevard. The victim reported $2,915 was scammed from her.

•There was a report of theft from motor vehicle on Aug. 11 at Anchor Baptist Church in Pisgah Forest. Three firearms were reported stolen from the vehicle.

•There was a report of shoplifting on Aug. 8 on Ecusta Road in Brevard. Tools and batteries were reported stolen.
