Martha Jane Elam Galloway, 59, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at her home in Rosman, surrounded by the love of her family.

She was born in Tacoma, Wash., July 13, 1960, to Helen Baguette Hill, of Memphis, Tenn., and Hershel Sheldon Elam, of Brevard. Both her parents and a sister, Shirley, predeceased her.

She worked as a national sales manager for Fusion, a Belgian-based billiard company.

Surviving are her daughters, Ginger Lance and husband, Ricky, of Rosman, and Cryshtal Avera and husband, Randy, of Haleiwa, Hawaii; her sunshine and only granddaughter, Maddy Lance; three sisters, Elizabeth Berchtold, of Atlanta, Ga., Barbara Owen (Mike), of Brevard and Marilyn McWhorter (Rick), of Hendersonville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3 – 5 p.m. Oct. 13, 2019, at the Terra Nova Center in Cedar Mountain.

A Celebration of Life hosted by her daughter, Cryshtal, and her sisters, Elizabeth, Barbara and Marilyn, will be held from 3-7 p.m. Oct. 20, 2019, at Hiwire Event Space in Historic Biltmore Village in Asheville.

The family extends a special thanks to CarePartners Home Care and Hospice of Transylvania County for their special care and attention.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, to be kind and love one another.
