A workshop is planned for people who are just beginning to discuss if they really want to commit to creating an active and healthy business or nonprofit. The Brevard SCORE Branch is partnering with the Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Center of Blue Ridge Community College in presenting this workshop.

This workshop is the fourth workshop in Brevard SCORE’s Business Tune-Up Series designed to help small businesses and nonprofits improve their performance and maximize impact. The first one was on “Tuning Up your Human Resources” facilitated by Sabrina Presnell Rockoff and held at the Blue Ridge Community College. The second, “Tuning Up your Money,” was held at the United Community Bank in Straus Park and featured Claudia Hawkins, accountant, as discussion leader. The third was recently held and presented by Sabrina Presnell Rockoff and Rebekah Lowe. It addressed the legal and operational details for operating a healthy non-profit.

On Oct. 16, a “Business Loans Seminar” will be presented by WNC SCORE and the Western Women’s Business Center, a program of Carolina Small Business Development Fund, at the conference room of the Chamber of Commerce of Henderson County in Kanuga Road, Hendersonville.
