Academy To Consider Capping Enrollment In The Future – Brevard, NC

With enrollment at 424 students this year, the Brevard Academy: A Challenge Foundation Academy Board of Directors last Wednesday evening discussed whether or not it should cap enrollment in the coming years.

School Director Ted Duncan told the board only the current seventh and eighth grades have fewer than 40 students.

As those students graduate, they could be replaced by larger kindergarten classes, pushing enrollment to more than 430 students next year and 440 students the following year.

“Our building is designed for 450 students, in theory,” said Duncan.
