Brevard Holds Off Charge From Franklin In 24-7 Win

The Blue Devil defense was in for a physical test against the Panthers, but proved up to the challenge. Brevard's defense limited Franklin to 87 rushing yards, and less than two yards average per carry.

It was a dogfight in the Panther Pit Friday night, but the Brevard Blue Devils used some big plays on both sides of the ball to hang on and defeat upset-minded Franklin 24-7.

The Panthers played like anything but an 0-7 team, keeping Brevard fans anxious as the Blue Devils held only a 3-0 lead at halftime.

But a gutsy call from head coach Craig Pritchett coming out of the locker room helped spark a big second half, as Brevard rolled to its seventh straight win.
