It’s only the last week of October, but there will be a playoff atmosphere at Brevard Memorial Stadium on Friday night as the Brevard Blue Devils host the Smoky Mountain Mustangs with all the marbles up for grabs.

Brevard (7-1) and Smoky (6-2) are both 2-0 so far in Mountain Six play. The Mustangs opened up conference with a 19-13 win over Pisgah in overtime, establishing early pole position.

But to keep that lead, Smoky has to beat Brevard at home, or else the Blue Devils could run the table and claim the title outright.
