Latest Veterans History Museum Exhibit Honors Women

More than 50 photos of local women who have served in the military provide the backdrop for the museum's special exhibit.

Women are being honored at the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas with a special six-weeks exhibit, open now and ending Sunday, Dec. 8. This unique collection "Women in the Military" features local women veterans giving free programs, a display of uniforms, mementos and artifacts, and more than 50 photos of women in their uniforms from WWII to present day.

The free programs, all are at 2 p.m. are:

•Nov. 7: U.S. Navy Captain (Ret.) Maureen Copelof, "History of Women in the Military."
