Brevard Dominates Late In 24-6 Victory Over Mustangs

Senior cornerback Tripp Harris finished with a pair of interceptions Friday night against the Mustangs, one of which set up a late touchdown run as part of a 21-point fourth quarter for the Blue Devils.

The rain fell hard, the hits came even harder, but in the end, there was no denying the Brevard Blue Devils.

Trailing for the first time since week one, Brevard forced three turnovers and scored 21 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to race past Smoky Mountain for a 24-6 win.

The Mustangs came in leading the Mountain Six Conference, but their patented ground game was met with stiff resistance from a Blue Devil defense that seems to get better every week.
