Trunk Or Treat

Trunk or Treat will be held on Main Street in Rosman on Halloween. The road will be closed from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. East Fork Baptist Church and Zion Baptist Church will be giving out hot dogs. Come join in on the fun!

Tiger Football

The varsity Tigers play their last regular season home game this Friday. They will be hosting Hayesville. Kick off is 7:30 p.m.

Roy Chapman and Joe Byers Memorial Bluegrass Bash 

The 5th Annual Bluegrass Bash will be Saturday, Nov. 2, at Rosman High School. Carolina Blue will be hosting the event. Performers will include Junior Sisk, Nick Chandler & Delivered, Lorraine Jordan & Carolina Road. The MC will be Blake Williams. Tickets are $20.

Rosman Elementary 

Rosman Elementary School will be partnering with Hawg Wild for a BBQ fundraiser to benefit all RES children. BBQ plates will be sold at the Nov. 1 RHS football game, with sales starting at 6 p.m. For those who can’t attend but want a plate, call Crystal Williams at 577-3498 that evening and someone will meet you at the stadium gate.

Community Fundraiser For Devin Galloway

Come out to Headwaters Outfitters on Saturday, Nov. 16, from noon until 7 p.m. They will be having BBQ plates, drinks and silent auctions, with all proceeds going for Devin’s medical bills. BBQ will start at noon and go to 7 p.m. or until they run out. There will also be silent auction baskets and other items. There will also be some music throughout the day. There will be plenty of parking behind Headwaters, but if coming in a group, please carpool. Winners of the auction will be announced around 6 p.m., and you do not have to be present but will have 24 hours to pick up your item.

Walking Through The Bible-Trunk Or Treat

East Fork Baptist Church and several emergency service agencies are hosting a free drop-in event with candy and food, and walking through Bible Stories from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., today.

Bingo At Eastatoe 

Eastatoe Community Center will be having its monthly bingo on Saturday, Nov. 2. Food starts at 5 p.m. and bingo starts at 6 p.m. Takeout plates are available. If anyone would like to donate a bingo gift or baked goods, call Tina Craig at 577-0022 or bring it that evening. Thanks to all who help support the center.

RHS Classes

The RHS class of 1961 meets at 9 a.m. every third Tuesday of the month for breakfast at The Country Skillet. The RHS class of 1962 meets the first Thursday of each month at The Country Skillet. The RHS class of 1963 meets at 9 a.m. on the second Thursday at the Skillet. The RHS class of 1964 meets at 5 p.m. on the second Friday of the month at Skillet. 

Food Pantry

Zion Baptist Church holds a food pantry the third Saturday of each month. No screening involved.

Birthdays

Birthday wishes go out to  Diane Ayers, Melissa McCall, Roxann Jones, Sharon Edwards, Bo McCall, Colita Barton, Lori Vaughn and Jamie Rigsby, who all have birthdays this week.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to families of Lucy Bryson, Ophelia  McCall, Jerry Masters and Gene Bracken. May God comfort you in your time of need.
