Lady Blue Devils Advance To First Ever State Semifinal

The dream season for the Brevard Lady Blue Devil volleyball team just gets sweeter and sweeter.

On Saturday, Brevard shook off a slow start in the first set to defeat Patton 3-1, advancing to the 2A state semifinals for the first time in school history.

The 11-seed Panthers came in as the only dark horse left in the field, led by junior hitter Ella Gragg.

But after the first set, Brevard made the necessary adjustments to neutralize Gragg and won the next three sets in convincing fashion.

And just like that, a team that entered the postseason with only one playoff win to their record...
