Kay Gasperson Garren, 70, of Cedar Mountain, surrounded by the love of her family, went home to be with the Lord at her home on Nov. 5, 2019, following a long illness.

She was born on Oct. 10, 1949, in Transylvania County, where she was a lifelong resident. She spent many years as a hard-working employee at the former Ecusta plant. She was a loving mother, friend and caregiver.
