Inconsistent Health Reporting

When there was an outbreak of Legionnaire’s disease associated with the North Carolina Mountain State Fair in September, state and local government health officials quickly reported how many cases there were of Legionnaire’s disease. They also provided specific information as to how many cases there were in each county. On Sept. 30 the state reported that there were 83 confirmed cases, with 34 in Buncombe County and 21 in Henderson County.
