Whitmire To Present Program On Pisgah Game Preserve

The Transylvania County Library's Discover Natural Transylvania series on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 6:30 p.m. will feature "The Story of the Pisgah Game Preserve" with David Whitmire.

The program will look at the history of and role that the Pisgah District of Pisgah National Forest played in the recovery efforts of whitetail deer just after becoming the first national forest east of the Mississippi in 1916.
