Honoring Promise Of Equity For All Students

In a recent article I wrote for The Transylvania Times, I outlined the Transylvania County School System's efforts to offer students, particularly high school students, a variety of course and program options to accelerate their progress through high school, into higher education or on to a career path. These were:

•Dual Enrollment

•Advanced Placement (AP)

•North Carolina School of Science and Math (NCSSM)

•North Carolina Governor's School

•North Carolina Virtual Public School (NCVPS)

These options help the school system create more equitable opportunities for all students....
