DNA Evidence Introduced In Murder Trial – Brevard, NC

The trial in the murder case of 18-year-old Saul Ayala continues today after another week of testimony from state witnesses.

Today is the 18th day of the trial since jury selection began on Nov. 12.

Last week, Assistant District Attorney Beth Dierauf questioned two Brevard Police Department detectives, several forensic scientists and the medical examiner, who performed the autopsy of Ayala’s body.

As previously reported, Ayala died from stab wounds in the early morning of July 20, 2017, on Washington Avenue in Brevard.
