A young boy had to read a line in class: “Sir Walter Raleigh was a gentleman. He laid his cloak upon the muddy road so the lady wouldn’t soil her shoes when she entered the carriage.”

When he read the line, the boy stumbled: “Sir Walter Raleigh was a gentle ‘man’ who”-and then the nun said, “what is that word?” It was “gentleman” that she wanted him to say, not gentle man.

Then she said, “Mr. Buh-Buh-Buh-Biden, what’s that word?”
