Tepper Scores Big Thanks To $110 Million Assist From Taxpayers

With Tuesday’s announcement that Charlotte is set to be the host city for Major League Soccer’s 30th franchise, David Tepper pulled off what nobody else before him was able to accomplish.

He got a new team, he got an agreement to improvements on Bank of America Stadium and he got it all less than 18 months after buying the Carolina Panthers for a cool $2.3 billion.

However, much like scoring a goal in soccer, while he didn’t do it alone, Tepper gets all the glory and the city of Charlotte now has to hope that their assistance pays off.
