Stench Of The Silent Sam Sale

Regardless of whether one views the Silent Sam monument that once stood on the grounds of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a way to honor those who fought for the Confederacy or view it as an everlasting symbol of slavery and white supremacy, the recent actions by members of the university’s Board of Governors regarding the disposition of the monument has an unmistakable stench associated with it.
