Tigers Start Hot, Falter Late In Home Loss To Vikings

Despite one of their better starts to a game this season that saw the score tied at 20 after the first quarter, the Rosman Tigers couldn't keep up the pace the rest of the night, as they fell to Avery County 66-40 on Monday.

The Vikings were hot from the floor all game, particularly from beyond the arc, but it was their defense that clamped down on the Tigers' offense after the first quarter that was the difference-maker.

Five straight points from Luke Hawk gave Rosman a brief 5-4 lead before Avery knocked down consecutive 3-pointers to move in front 9-5.
