Margaret Camille McGoogan Higel

Margaret Camille McGoogan Higel, 92, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Dec. 28, 2019.

She was resident of Brevard for over 20 years, and was a member of Etowah Presbyterian Church.

She loved the Lord, her family, singing, reading, baseball and being a teacher. A lifelong Presbyterian, she loved serving as an Elder, and being involved in all types of church work.

Her parents, Howard and Margaret McGoogan, precede her in passing.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Harry Higel; three sons, Bob (Lee Anne), of St. Augustine, Fla., Jim, of Maggie Valley, N.C., and Rick (Deborah), of Charlotte, N.C .; and five grandchildren, Kristen, Jeffrey, Sharon, Chris and Becky.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Geneva Presbyterian Church in Jacksonville, Fla.

The viewing will be at 10:30 a.m., prior to the service.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery.

Craig Funeral Home, Crematory and Memorial Park (www.craigfuneralhome.com), is in charge of arrangements.
