Where Is The Kindness?

Last updated 1/6/2020 at 1:43pm

My niece was sitting in waiting room at the Transylvania hospital Dec. 19 when an elderly gentleman with oxygen was trying to come in the doors. A volunteer rushed over to help him and another got a wheelchair for him.

When the tech called his name and saw he was in a wheelchair, they stated they weren’t pushing the chair or helping lift him out of. The volunteer asked if they had medical problems and they stated no… it’s not in my job description!

Where is the kindness? Where is the care and consideration a person is supposed to get and pays for when going to a medical facility?

How bad this man must have felt to hear this. Employees of medical facility should be trained to treat everyone they see with respect!

Evidently they weren’t raised in Brevard because we were all raised to show respect and kindness, especially to our elders and those needing help.
