Understanding The Read To Achieve Program

If you are a parent of a third grader in North Carolina, you have more than likely heard about the North Carolina Read to Achieve Program. You might have been invited to a parent night explaining this program or received monthly communication regarding how your child was progressing in the area of reading. You might even have met with your child’s teacher more than you ever had in the past and received more updates than you expected when your child entered third grade. All of these things are effects of this program or law and are meant to prepare your child for a successful future.
