Graduation was held on Dec. 11 for the Getting Ahead program at Sharing House.

Getting Ahead is a 15-week program designed to examine the impact poverty has on individuals and the community, build stability and resources, and help to create self-sufficiency in life of individual, as well as the whole family.

Brevard Police Chief Phil Harris was the guest speaker. He brought home that each person's integrity, commitment, focus and follow through are key in being successful in life.
