Preparing For Success

It's hard to say "no" to Kae Parker – or maybe it's just easy to say "yes" to her. Kae, who retired after 28 years of directing the county's Child Development Program and New Adventure Learning Center, and who in retirement works to recruit and support foster care families, has what you could call a "heart for children."

When she put out a call in September for "comfy cozy blankets" to include in the Get Set Transylvania toolkits for families with young children, she was hoping to receive about 500 blankets. When all was said and done and the toolkits were assembled...
